The Encode: AI for Science Fellowship by Pillar VC is a 12-month program for builders working at the intersection of AI and science.

Funded by the UK Government and supported by ARIA, the program gives researchers the freedom to build impactful AI-driven projects in science. This opportunity is now open for Cohort 2.

What You’ll Do

• Propose and build your own AI project or co-develop one with the program
• Work on real scientific challenges with leading labs and partners
• Turn your work into a startup, open-source project, or research initiative

• AI/ML researchers, engineers, and technical builders
• Individuals comfortable with coding, data, and model development
• Candidates interested in applying AI to scientific problems
• Open to global applicants willing to relocate to the UK (visa supported)
