Upstream: engineering consulting for space activities
Downstream: value-added services for environmental management using satellite imagery

About the Role

The Remote Sensing Analyst will process, analyze, and interpret satellite imagery to support AI-based environmental analysis and monitoring. The role requires solid expertise in remote sensing workflows, image processing, and environmental applications, with a strong focus on high-resolution data and vegetation analysis.

You will collaborate with AI, GIS, and product teams to turn raw imagery into actionable insights and operational geospatial products.

Key Responsibilities

Acquire, preprocess, and analyze high-resolution satellite imagery (≤ 1 m)
Perform vegetation classification, change detection, and health assessment using multispectral and hyperspectral data
Support the development of AI models for object detection and classification of trees and vegetation
Generate vegetation indices (NDVI, EVI, LAI, TCC) and integrate outputs into GIS databases
Validate model results through ground-truthing and correlation with field data
Produce technical reports, maps, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary and international team to deliver geospatial solutions at scale

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience in remote sensing data analysis
Proficiency with key remote sensing and GIS tools, such as:
- ENVI, ERDAS IMAGINE, SNAP
- QGIS, ArcGIS Pro
- Scripting tools and platforms: Python, R, Google Earth Engine
Strong understanding of machine learning applications in remote sensing (e.g. Random Forest, CNNs)
Experience with time-series analysis and environmental monitoring
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international team
Fluent in English and Arabic
Willingness and ability to travel within Algeria and to partner countries (mandatory)
